Qdoba Mexican Eats® is laying down roots in San Diego and is looking to hire nearly 50 leaders and support personnel within the next six months. Hiring is already underway, as Qdoba moves its headquarters from Colorado to California.

With open positions across marketing, culinary research & development, restaurant operations, supply chain, business development, and restaurant & instructional design, the brand is seeking candidates with a background in the restaurant industry.

Among the new hires will be a Director of Culinary, who will be responsible for leading the creation, development and implementation of new products and product improvements, and a Director of Omni Channel Marketing, who will be responsible for strategic and tactical planning, development, implementation, and ongoing execution of the brand’s omni-channel marketing approach.

“We’re hiring new leaders ranging from directors to brand and project managers to marketing specialists and graphic designers,” said Keith Guilbault, Qdoba Mexican Eats Brand President. “We have an incredible culture at Qdoba, and we’re looking to find the right individuals to join our growing team in San Diego.”

The brand boasts great perks for leaders joining Qdoba. An open, casual work environment matches benefits of an on-site fitness center and in-house restaurant. Plus, the company offers competitive vacation benefits, 401k company match, health benefits and relocation packages for those moving to San Diego.

The announcement follows Qdoba’s recent brand re-launch that introduced a new restaurant design, menu innovation, bar concept and even more brand initiatives to come. The Qdoba support center is expected to relocate its office to San Diego from Denver by January.

Qdoba Franchisee Offers Fundraising Opportunities for Nonprofit Organizations

Since the Qdoba Mexican Eats Community Fundraiser Program was created in 2006 by northern Colorado Franchisee Steve Lauer, hundreds of local nonprofit organizations across norther Colorado, southern Wyoming, and western Nebraska have earned over $2.5 million by participating in this program.

Nonprofit organizations purchase one-page coupon sheets for $2 per sheet. Each sheet features more than $100 in savings, including free catering sides and discounted entrees. The nonprofit organizations then sell these sheets to the public for $10 per sheet, netting an $8 profit on every coupon sheet sold through the annual Qdoba Mexican Eats Community Fundraiser Program.

“We always want to do our part in supporting and giving back to our local communities. Although this format creates some significant discounts in our restaurants, it’s been a great way to provide tremendous fundraising opportunities for a wide and diversified variety of organizations,” Steve said. The fundraiser program aligns with the school calendar, and among the fundraiser participants are churches, schools and sports teams raising money for missionary trips, uniforms or educational programs.

Steve and team, congratulations on being champions within the community, and reaching the huge milestone of helping local non-profit organizations earn over $2.5 million through your program.
